Working in the Garden

I don’t really like dirt or bugs, but I sure like digging out in the garden.

There’s something about it that is just so relaxing — the smell of the ground in the spring, the first vegetable in the summer, and the mix of fallen leaves in the fall.

It’s frustrating at times for sure. The rabbits and the deer that steal some of the best plants are alternatively cursed and swooned over. The seeds that never really take off are frustrating. But if you have the right space, some time, the best garden supplies and a good attitude, working in the garden might be one of your favorite pastimes.
